Allan Ellis
Allan Ellis, 52, born and raised in Pennsylvania, is a lifelong fisherman and hunter. He is married to his beloved Kathy and they have two grown children and two grandchildren. Allan moved to Maryland in 1983 where he fell in love with the Free State’s natural resources. At that time he was the Associate Publisher of Fish Finder Magazine. Later in 1991 he founded and published Fishing & Hunting Journal. In 1988, he went on the air with The Maryland Sportsman Radio Show on WCBM 680. The Maryland Sportsman ran continuously through the end of July 2002. Over twelve-and-a-half-years; over 650 shows. The Outdoorsman Radio Show began in April of 2004 on the same station and is broadcast live every Saturday from 5 to 7 a.m. The Outdoorsman Radio Show brings the outdoors experience to the ears of thousands of fishermen and hunters every Saturday at the crack of dawn. He works closely with conservation organizations and the outdoor press. Allan has also published the annual Maryland Deer & Waterfowl Hunting Guide magazine for the last thirteen years. Allan’s business and profession has always revolved around the outdoors. Whether he’s on the Bay, in the woods or writing and talking about his adventures, he drives home the messages of conservation, ethical practices, safety and fun. Allen Huffman
Allen Huffman is a displaced Texan currently living in Iowa. He relocated to the "silicon prairie" in 1995 to work for a computer operating system company. When not doing tech work for his "real" job, he has an endless list of side projects and hobbies to occupy his time. These include: maintaining websites, creating TV commercials for local businesses, and editing the Regional Renaissance Reporter, a small magazine focusing on Midwest renaissance festivals. In 2005, Allen discovered podcasts and soon was creating several of his own, focusing on Disney theme parks and renaissance festivals. After purchasing a Toyota Prius and falling in love with the car, he began working on the Priuscast. Today he publishes a half-dozen audio and video podcasts, including one which documented the building and opening of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire in 2006.
